"Art for Democracy" is the graphic voice of designer and film director Bill Groshelle. An award-winning director and designer, Mr. Groshelle decided he needed to make a visual statement to define his political beliefs. He has designed powerful and disturbing images based on current events. His stylized posters and T-shirts depict defining moments in the present administration’s political agenda.
The work has been shown as part of the traveling exhibit “Yo, What Happened To Peace?”. This exhibit began in Tokyo and featured the work of 100 international artists whose work had an anti-war theme. The exhibit ultimately traveled to Boston where it was shown during the Democratic National Convention and to New York, to be shown during the Republican National Convention. In Marin County, California, the work was shown as part of the Democracy For America exhibit, “The Art Of Politics”. More recently, several posters were part of the show “Propaganda III” organized by Start-SOMA Gallery and are currently still traveling the globe.
